User Agreement & Legal Terms

Terms of Service

Please review the rules governing your use of the JeeCharge mobile app, network charging sessions, transparent kWh billing, and station conduct.

Last Updated: September 2026 • Effective Date: September 23, 2026 •

Key Highlights for EV Drivers

You pay only for the electricity consumed during your session plus applicable taxes. Please unplug promptly once charging completes to avoid idle fees and keep high-speed chargers available for fellow drivers. Always handle charging connectors with care and obey posted station parking regulations.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “Driver”, or “you”) and JeeCharge (“JeeCharge”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms govern your access to and use of our mobile applications, web platform (jeecharge.app), API integrations, and charging session services (collectively, the “Services”).

By downloading, registering for, accessing, or utilizing any aspect of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately uninstall the app and cease all use of our Services.

2. Eligibility & Account Security

To create an account and initiate charging sessions with JeeCharge, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) and hold a valid motor vehicle driver's license.
  • You are the registered owner, authorized driver, or legitimate lessee of any electric vehicle you connect to a JeeCharge-compatible station.
  • You possess full legal authority to bind and utilize the credit card, debit card, or digital wallet payment method registered in your profile.
  • All registration details you submit (name, phone number, vehicle specifications) are accurate, current, and complete.

You are exclusively responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any charging sessions initiated through your account. Notify us immediately at akshaymhatre3812@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access or compromised credentials.

3. Charging Services & 1-Tap QR Activation

JeeCharge enables drivers to locate nearby electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), inspect live port availability, and initiate power delivery through direct QR code scanning or in-app dispenser selection via the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP).

How Sessions Operate:

  1. Physical Connection: Inspect the charging plug for debris or damage and plug it firmly into your EV's charge inlet until it locks securely.
  2. Authentication: Open the JeeCharge app and scan the QR code located on the charger face or enter the Station ID manually.
  3. Authorization & Power Delivery: Once your payment method is verified and authorized, the station starts dispensing electric current according to your vehicle's Battery Management System (BMS) requests.
  4. Session Termination: You may end charging at any moment via the JeeCharge mobile app, your vehicle's unlock switch, or the charger's stop button. Please return the cable to its holster.

4. Pricing, kWh Tariffs & Pre-Authorizations

We are dedicated to transparent, predictable pricing with zero hidden surcharges:

  • Clear Tariffs: Active pricing (calculated per kilowatt-hour [kWh], per minute, or flat session connection fee) is displayed prominently on the station details screen in the app before you initiate any charge.
  • Pre-Authorization Holds: When starting a session, a temporary pre-authorization hold (typically between $15 to $35 or equivalent local currency) may be placed on your credit/debit card to ensure funds availability. Once the session ends, the final actual total is billed and the hold difference is released immediately by our payment processor.
  • Taxes & Regulatory Surcharges: Published prices exclude or itemize statutory sales tax, GST/VAT, and municipal clean energy surcharges where legally mandated.
  • Invoices & Receipts: Detailed itemized receipts showing start/end timestamps, peak kW delivery, total kWh dispensed, and price breakdown are delivered in-app and to your registered email immediately upon session completion.

5. Idle Fees & Charger Bay Etiquette

High-speed EV chargers are community resources. To maximize station turnover and ensure chargers are accessible to all electric vehicle drivers:

⚠️ Idle Fee Policy:

Once your vehicle reaches 100% State of Charge (or reaches the custom battery charge limit you configured), a grace period of 10 minutes is provided to return to your vehicle and unplug the connector.

If your vehicle remains parked in the charging stall after the grace period expires, an idle fee (typically $0.50 to $1.00 per minute) will accrue automatically until the vehicle is disconnected from the dispenser. Idle rates are clearly itemized on the station profile page prior to plugging in.

6. Equipment Safety, Cables & Compatibility

High-voltage electric vehicle charging requires strict adherence to safety standards:

  • Inspection: You must visually inspect the charging cable, connector pins, and your vehicle inlet for moisture, dirt, foreign objects, or physical damage prior to connecting. Never use a cracked, frayed, or visibly damaged connector.
  • Approved Adapters Only: You may only utilize adapters that are OEM-certified or officially approved by the vehicle manufacturer (e.g., UL-certified CCS-to-NACS adapters). Homemade, non-certified, or unrated third-party adapters are strictly prohibited.
  • User Liability for Negligence: Drivers are financially liable for damage to charging dispensers, pedestals, cables, screens, or bay bollards resulting from driving off while connected, running over cables, or intentional vandalism.

7. Station Conduct & Parking Regulations

While visiting any charging station location displayed in the JeeCharge network:

  • Charging stalls are reserved strictly for electric vehicles actively receiving power. Internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and non-charging EVs are prohibited from parking in designated EV charging bays.
  • You agree to comply with all host facility parking rules, speed limits, signage, and security directives. Hosts reserve the right to tow vehicles that overstay or obstruct access at the vehicle owner's sole expense.
  • Do not force, pry, or tamper with charging dispensers or emergency shutoff switches except in genuine emergency situations.

8. Mobile App License & Intellectual Property

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, JeeCharge grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the JeeCharge application solely for personal, non-commercial purposes on your mobile device.

All logos, branding, user interface designs, software, trademarks, graphics, and patents related to JeeCharge are the exclusive property of JeeCharge. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, copy, or distribute any portion of our software or live telemetry protocols without prior written authorization.

9. Disclaimers of Warranties

THE SERVICES, APPLICATION, AND ALL CHARGING DATA (INCLUDING STATION AVAILABILITY, CHARGING SPEEDS, AND PRICING) ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

While JeeCharge aims for maximum network uptime (99.9%+), we do not warrant that charging stations operated by third-party host networks will be uninterrupted, continuously functional, error-free, or available at all times. Station availability, local electrical grid conditions, power throttling, and physical site access are subject to local utility and facility conditions beyond our direct control.

10. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL JEECHARGE, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, OR CHARGING PARTNERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, TOWING EXPENSES, BATTERY DEGRADATION ARISING FROM VEHICLE BMS FLAWS, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR PERSONAL INJURY RESULTING FROM IMPROPER CABLE HANDLING.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO JEECHARGE IN CHARGING SESSIONS DURING THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Suspension & Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account access immediately, without prior notice, in the event of:

  • Any breach or material violation of these Terms.
  • Fraudulent payment chargebacks, uncollected balances, or identity misrepresentation.
  • Abuse, harassment, or physical vandalism directed toward charging infrastructure or station personnel.
  • Repeated failure to vacate charging stalls resulting in overstay complaints.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be construed and governed in accordance with the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which JeeCharge operates, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the breach thereof shall first be submitted to informal dispute resolution by contacting our legal desk. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
